My Life in Soccer
I have been playing soccer since I was about 3. Not only has soccer been a fun hobby, but it has also taught me many lessons like learning to be a leader and working with others. I also understand how important it is for everyone to play a sport they enjoy and how cost can stop those dreams.
My Project
For my project to help the Naptown United soccer league, I planned to build a concrete foundation near their fields and put a shipping container on it. The shipping container can serve as an equipment shed to help the league store soccer gear so it’s closer to them and easier to find. It can also serve as a snack bar so the league can generate some money to keep the fields nice and get jerseys for the players.
Why I Want To Help
I want to help the Naptown United league because I know how much soccer changes lives especially at a young age. To this day it’s still a main part of who I am, and I’ve met several of my best friends through playing soccer. I think everyone should have the opportunity to play soccer because it changes you forever.
My Goal
My fundraising goal was to raise $6,000 for the shed and the base. We have completed that goal and finished the project.
